Ideally, l would like all my earrings and necklaces to be hung somehow, so

l can view them at the same time and not have them tangle. l would

One idea would be to build a scaled down coat rack of sorts. A
Caseydoll
single narrow piece of wood would suffice, perhaps a nice species: walnut,

cherry or an exotic species. The hangers could be as simple as nails, but

knobs or hooks would probably look nicer. Here is a link to some brass

knobs & necklace hangers that might give you some ideas:

Depending on the style you're looking for, antique nails could also work.

Or even decorative thumb tacks, which could be used with either a soft
wood or cork board. Here is a sampling of what you can find:

This might work for you- Get a long, wide piece of ribbon- at
ChiChi
least 2 1/2 to 3 feet long. On half of the ribbon, you are going to make a

knots in the ribbon every 1 inch. The rest of the ribbon you will leave

un-knotted. If you want a place for rings too, simply tie another couple

pieces of ribbon on. Decide where you want to hang the ribbon on ur wall,

& attach both ends to the wall- either with a nail, a hook, or whatever
you have that will hold it- be sure to hang so that there is a little
slack in the ribbon. Now, to hang ur necklaces, unclasp them & then clasp
them around the ribbon- putting one necklace in each knotted area. For
earrings, just poke the earrings through the ribbon on the other half. If
you want to store rings & bracelets as well, just string one of the
hanging ribbons through & tie off.

Here is a link to a picture I made of it- not very good, I warn you, but
should help you to get an idea of what I am talking about

Running Bare , Wednesday, 11th of August 2010 02:27:31 PM

1) You could use a cork board. You can use a light colored
Running Bare
board or use some fabric to cover it & hot glue it around the edges. Then

put in large push pins in a orderly fashion for hanging ur necklaces.

Hoop earrings can be paired up & hung on a smaller push pin. As for other

types of earrings, consider getting small, clear plastic pouches to hold
them & pin the pouches onto the board.

2) You can get a pegboard
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perforated_hardboard#Typical_dimensions_and_layout)
& paint it a light color. Then you can attach different kinds of hooks for
ur jewelry. The pegboard & hooks can be found hardware stores.
